compaq is a real bad deal for a laptop,mine too stoped working a month after the warranty expired . i had the laptop for 2 1/2 years and had it in working condition only for a year. they are out only to cheat people .

I too experience a weird problem… after using the lap top for the whole night, the next day I on it, my screen cracks…
went down HP service centre, they told me i hit something on the laptop.. which is which idiot on earth will hit a heavy object on the laptop… I read somewhere that I’m not the first case… as the laptop cannot resist heat.. thus causing hem to crack… haiz… anyone here experience the same issue?

I had a no display problemand got the motherboard replaced twice and still the problem persists. now the service centre people say that there is a problem wit the processor and these selfish people gave me a quotation of 30,000Rs. They say that now i am not eligible to buy a carepack. these people should be sued. can anyone help me with this problem?

I don’t think that THIS the post warranty covers ur problem, but try checking with HP they may have another post warranty for ur particular problem

Is it possible to get motherboard replacement under that post warranty you are saying? I have USB ports issue, DISC Controller issue which caused DVD drive stopped working. This is nothing but Motherboard issue not DVD Drive or USB device issue.

I was reading your post and thought perhaps you didn’t know about the extended warranty that is now being offered because of the same problem you have described. If you copy and past this link ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&docname=c01087277 ) into you browser it will take you to a web page that lists all the computers that can get a free repair and what symptoms they are. One of the symptoms in a presario not being able to detect wifi. Hope that helps.

hello….im totally stucked with my presario v3225 au laptop……my video is not working nd itll start working after 2 or 3 hr rest……i dont know what to do….and yesterday i got a mail notification from hp that my warranty has been extended to feb 09-09……

Hi,

Guys, I am going to the Consumer Protection Department with all the blogs and the hp published articles on their sites. We have spent considerable amount on this and we can’t tolerate such a frequent problem. Top of the problem such a frustration that it sometimes spoils my whole day.

I know, it will result into ‘NOTHING’ but if we raise our concern together we might get some way out and find a permanent solution.

Please revert back if you want to join me fight this battle. We should get some justice. Let’s see how much ‘Jaago Graahak Jaago’ plays the role.

Hi,

I have been facing the same problem with my Presario 3225AU laptop. I have got replaced my motherboard last week and facing the same problem again.

This is disgusting. And this will 100% get repeated frequently I’m for sure. I agree that HP has extended this warranty for a 1 year. But what after a year? Chargeable?
